The Jump 26 Movement

The Jump 26 Manifesto

Every experienced skydiver was once standing at the door with 25 jumps.

New license.New freedom.A shitload left to learn.

None of us got where we are alone.

Somebody answered our stupid questions. Somebody invited us on the load. Somebody slowed a dive down so we could participate. Somebody taught us something, checked on us, encouraged us, corrected us, or simply made us feel like we belonged there.

Then the jump numbers started adding up.

Jump 26 is about remembering that.

Twenty-five jumps may earn you an A license. Jump 26 is what you do next.

It's the moment the journey stops being only about what you can learn and starts becoming about what you can eventually give back.

Experience should bring us closer together, not become another reason to separate ourselves.

So make room on the load.

Answer the question.

Share what you know.

Introduce the new jumper to somebody.

Celebrate progression that looks small to you but feels enormous to them.

Fly within your abilities. Help others progress within theirs. Never confuse inclusion with ignoring safety, and never confuse experience with superiority.

You don't need 1,000 jumps to contribute.

You just need something worth passing along.

Maybe you're on jump 26.Maybe you're on jump 2,600.

There will always be someone who knows more than you and someone who knows less.

Learn from the first. Bring along the second.

That's how skills grow.

That's how friendships happen.

That's how people stay in the sport.

That's how a collection of individual skydivers becomes a community.

Because eventually the person you welcomed becomes experienced enough to turn around and welcome somebody else.

And that's the whole fucking point.

More experience + less ego = stronger community.

Turn around. Bring somebody with you.

Jump 26.
